A powerful wilderness learning experience enabling young people with challenging histories to lead independent lives & become inspiring young leaders in their communities.o

Beyond Boundaries programme was a unique physical, emotional and peer group adventure we designed for young people whose lives were challenged by homelessness, substance abuse or mental health issues, or who may have been leaving care without a new support system in place.

By harnessing the transformative power of wild places, UK Beyond Boundaries programme enabled young people to develop and practice the skills and confidence they need to become independent young adults. enables young people to refocus and find their direction in life.

By taking young people out of their normal environments and the distractions of their everyday lives and cities -and into one of the UK's remotest, most pristine, wild and beautiful places- Beyond Boundaries provided an extraordinary space and time where powerful learning can took place.

"Beyond Boundaries has shown me how to turn my dreams into achievable goals."

Emma, Participant

“I have taken in more lessons and experiences within a month than I did in a year of school. Seeing that my responsibilities are more important than entertainment. Started seeing the importance of nutrition, diet and lifestyle. If it wasn’t for Beyond Boundaries I wouldn’t be getting a fresh start in a new city and continuing my education."

David, Participant

There is no doubt that participants of the Beyond Boundaries programme are very different people to those who started. These young adults now have positive stories to tell and are confident, competent and independent.

"I have learnt so much on this journey. I have learnt to communicate my feelings, and to reach out to people and help them if I can. Knowing people's boundaries, knowing when is the time to give them space or help. I have learnt humility - that this is not just about myself, but about the community."
